XRD X-RAY TUBE UPGRADE

DIANO Corporation now provides an X-Ray tube upgrade package for existing DIANO diffraction goniometers. The upgrade is designed to replace the older Ca8 style X-Ray tube with the European Standard X-Ray tube.

The upgrade package includes a new European standard X-Ray tube, new tube housing with a new integral shutter, a new high voltage cable, and a new federal to spring adapter to interface between the X-Ray tube and the high voltage cable.

• The X-Ray tube can be purchased from five different manufactures.
• The price of the European standard X-Ray tube is 1/2 of the price of the Varian Ca8 tube.
• We have found that the European tube does not contaminate as fast as the Varian Ca8 tube.
• The DIANO designed shutter will give many years of trouble free service.
• Now that the X-Ray tube housing is an integral part of the goiometer, the alignment becomes simple, a one screw adjustment.
• There is no need for a water cooling jacket around the X-Ray tube.
• The quick disconnect fittings and the hoses are eliminated.
